He settled at Fish Kills, Staten Island, New York, on property he got from his father. In 1730 he sold the property to his brother Simon and moved to Bushwyck, Brooklyn, New York

Will divided property between sons Adriaan and Cornelius. Wife Catherine died previous to 1767, when will was dated.
